VFW Post 3219 is proud to announce that the 1^st Security Forces Squadron has agreed to become our official adopted unit as part of the VFW's Adopt-a-Unit program. The 1st SFS provides force protection for $4.5 billion in DOD assets, 10,000 base personnel and 65,000 retirees and family members. It secures Headquarters Air Combat Command, two squadrons of F-22As and one squadron of F-15Cs. The 1st SFS functions as the pilot unit for 17 unit type codes and sustains 33 UTCs composed of 240 personnel. The 1st SFS also trains 6,000 personnel on combat arms and maintains 10 military working dogs and a fleet of 35 vehicles
